About Donald Odom III
Donald Odom III began in live production as a student in Upstate New York, mixing school musicals, concerts, and events. At 16 he started professionally for a large church in Orange County, NY, later serving as Production Director for nearly six years. In 2020 he founded ZAVA Solutions, which grew during the pandemic and was rebranded in May 2026 as Odom Audio Visual, specializing in practical AVL systems for churches and organizations.

Donald Odom III began his career in live production while still a student in Upstate New York, mixing over 18 school musicals and hundreds of concerts, events, and graduations on large-format digital consoles. From an early age, he was captivated by high-end professional audio equipment and the power of exceptional live production.His passion quickly evolved beyond the school stage. At just 16, Donald began mixing professionally for a large church in Orange County, New York. He rapidly elevated the quality of their productions and eventually stepped into the role of Production Director, serving in that position for nearly six years.In 2020, he founded ZAVA Solutions, a company that experienced significant growth during the COVID-19 pandemic by specializing in large-scale broadcast system integrations. In May 2026, ZAVA Solutions was reformed and rebranded as Odom Audio Visual, now serving churches and organizations with comprehensive AVL (audio, video, and lighting) system design, integration, and support.Though an audio engineer at heart, Donald is widely recognized for his ability to dramatically raise production standards — even for small churches and modest venues. He excels at maximizing existing equipment while strategically integrating new technology to create seamless, reliable, and cost-effective solutions.
